Overview
A Relaunch Against the Clock
Coming off a $40M Series A, Lumana needed a website that matched its momentum — a sales-enablement tool ready for our biggest selling moment of the year. I led the full redesign as lead designer, managing a developer and a creative agency in parallel, and we launched on time despite a deadline that kept getting tighter.

The Challenge
A Deadline That Kept Moving
The project started in late October 2025 with a comfortable target: the end of H1 2026. Then the timeline compressed — to Q1, then mid-Q1, then late January, ahead of our Sales Kickoff. By the time the date was locked, it was already December. The window had gone from six months to roughly two.
My original plan was deliberately step-wise: a new sitemap, a refreshed web design language, a Figma design system, then high-fidelity components, then pages. The new timeline made that linear approach impossible. I had to rethink how the whole project would run.
Approach
Building in Parallel
Instead of working in sequence, I went straight to designing pages while building the design system underneath them at the same time. Decisions made on the page fed the system, and the system kept the pages consistent — each one informing the other in real time.
I also refined the site's text hierarchy for both desktop and mobile, evolving it from the old site to give the new pages a sharper, more deliberate rhythm.

Design Ownership
Led the redesign end-to-end — sitemap, design language, the Figma system, and every high-fidelity page.
Managing the Developer
Took over managing our web developer: setting priorities, reviewing builds, and running QA together before launch.
Directing the Agency
Art-directed our creative and 3D agency on a homepage scroll animation — briefing, supplying assets, and running feedback loops.
Stakeholder Alignment
Worked closely with the VP of Marketing and Head of Growth to keep the redesign aligned with the company's sales and go-to-market goals.

Smart Scope
Bridging Old and New
It became clear we couldn't fully redesign every live page in time. Rather than ship a site that felt half-finished, I refreshed eight legacy components to bring the older pages closer to the new design language — a pragmatic move that gave dozens of pages a cohesive facelift while I focused deep effort where it mattered most.

Key Pages

Outcome
Shipped On Time, Built to Sell
We launched on schedule, ahead of Sales Kickoff — a new site ready to carry Lumana's Series A momentum into its most important selling season. Traffic and engagement rose after launch, and the redesign gave the company a sharper, more credible digital front door. Lower-priority page updates continued for months after, refining the work without ever blocking the launch.
